Arthritis affects over 50 million Americans. It is no wonder that alternative and complimentary therapies such a CBD oil have gained so much popularity in the last few years. A study by the European Journal of Pain shows the benefits of transdermal CBD application in managing pain from arthritis. Transdermal CBD was shown in this study to “significantly reduced joint swelling, limb posture scores as a rating of spontaneous pain, immune cell infiltration and thickening of the synovial membrane in a dose-dependent manner.” CBD has very little side effects, does not cause drowsiness and is non-addictive.
